CREATIVE A320 TEST PLUS

Prior to the service introduction of the first Airbus airliners, engineers within Airbus had identified nine possible variations of the A300 known as A300B1 to B9. From the moment of formation, Airbus had begun studies into derivatives of the Airbus A300B in support of this long-term goal. When Airbus designed the A300 during the late 1960s and early 1970s, it envisaged a broad family of airliners with which to compete against Boeing and Douglas, two established US aerospace manufacturers. The Joint European Transport JET2-100 concept The A320ceo initially competed with the 737 Classic and the MD-80, then their successors, the 737 Next Generation and the MD-90, while the 737 MAX is Boeing's response to the A320neo. The global A320 fleet had completed more than 152 million flights over 280 million block hours since its entry into service. In October 2019, the A320 family surpassed the Boeing 737 to become the highest-selling airliner.ДЄs of DecemberВ 2021, a total of 16,015 A320s had been ordered and 10,176 delivered, of which 9,572 aircraft were in service with more than 330 operators. With more efficient turbofans and improvements including sharklets, it offers up to 15% better fuel economy.Д®arlier A320s are now called A320ceo ( current engine option).ДЄmerican Airlines is the largest A320 operator with 443 aeroplanes in its fleet. In December 2010, Airbus announced the re-engined A320neo ( new engine option), which entered service with Lufthansa in January 2016. The Airbus Corporate Jets are business jet versions. The A320 is 37.6В m (123В ft) long and can accommodate 150 to 186 passengers. The 31.4В m (103В ft) long A318 typically accommodates 107 to 132 passengers. The family pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire and side-stick flight controls in airliners. The twinjet has a six-abreast cross-section and is powered by either CFM56 or IAE V2500 turbofans, except the CFM56/ PW6000 powered A318. Sound Test 5.1 featured in Tyneside CinemaвЂ™s film programme from February to April, 2014. It was produced in 5.1 surround sound with both stereoscopic 3-D and 2-D versions. The film was commissioned by Pixel Palace for Tyneside Cinema. The motion graphics were designed to mirror the way the audio moves through the space in three dimensions. Under the guise of a sound test the work explores the mechanics of the 5.1 surround sound system, temporarily breaking the spell of the surround-sound illusion to draw the audience's attention to the location of the speakers within the cinema environment.

CREATIVE A320 TEST PLUS

Typical tests check the volume, frequency range and position of each speaker plus any synchronisation or phasing issues between them. The film is a playful riff on more functional speaker tests used by cinema projectionists to check that the sound system is operating correctly. For several months the film was surreptitiously inserted into the cinema programme, playing, unannounced, before all main features. A site-specific cinematic artwork designed especially for Tyneside CinemaвЂ™s auditoria. Sound Test 5.1 is a short sound film produced in collaboration with visual effects artist, Loday Gonpo.
